Russian Artist’s Cute Felted Wool Animals Might Hypnotize You With Their Googly Eyes (80 Pics)

Somewhere in Khabarovsk, Russia, there lives a passionate felted wool artist that makes the cutest woodland animals that seem like they came out of a Disney movie. Her name is Yulia Derevschikova, and she's been doing this since 2015. Over the years, she has created over a hundred of these adorable little critters, and it doesn't seem like she's going to end any time soon.

The artistry needs great dedication since one animal takes at least 20 hours to make. She says her source of inspiration comes from her love for animals. Needless to say, she has an eye for spotting cuteness, hence her art has a distinct style. In our eyes, her portfolio is very impressive, and quite something to look at. So check out this adorable collection of her works and try not to fall in love with these cute little critters.

BBC One celebrates the simple joys of Christmas in this year’s holiday ad

The ad, entitled #XmasLife, is decidedly jaunty in tone, particularly in comparison with the last two years, when BBC One went for more emotive, family-focused narratives. In 2018, it was all about a mother and son reconnecting, told through the story of a day frozen in time, while in 2017, it was about a dad struggling to find time to help his daughter get ready for her school talent show.

This time round, it’s less about family and more on all the things that make us look forward to Christmas such as being a big kid, indulging in box sets and, more topically, less turkeys being eaten thanks to a surge in interest in veganism.

“Christmas is a time when we come together through the shared treats and rituals of the season to take care of ourselves,” says Chris Hooper, Head of Marketing.

“BBC One has a special role in helping to bring people together and, understanding that poignant festive brand films are a territory that feels well-explored, we wanted to demonstrate this in a way that was relatable and fun.”

The film is a break from the more earnest advertising of the season, but has a faint whiff of the BBC trying too hard to be trendy – with hashtags, plant-based diets and phone-dependent teenagers all dutifully ticked off the list.

It’s also not necessarily particularly relatable. For many people, long lie-ins and lounging about on the sofa for days at a time is unrealistic, even at Christmas, as is avoiding the inevitable family political arguments, particularly post-Brexit vote.

Dwayne Wade Hits Back At Trolls Who Made Fun Of His Son For Wearing A Crop Top And Fake Nails

Children should not become the targets of people’s hate just because they wear something others might not like. Unfortunately, some internet users are like a dog with a bone—they won’t let go because they have a need to share their angry comments with the world and don’t care who gets hurt in the process.

Internet haters criticized NBA star Dwyane Wade and his actress wife Gabrielle Union-Wade’s 12-year-old son Zion for wearing a crop top and fake nails in the family’s Thanksgiving photo.

As a papa-bear should, Dwyane stepped in to defend his son, hit back at the internet trolls, and exclaimed that the entire family will continue to “support each other with pride, love, and a smile.”

The internet hate began to flow when Zion’s stepmom, Gabrielle, posted a Thanksgiving photo of the whole family, including Zion’s baby sister Kaavia James. Some of the critics attacked Zion, while others had a go at Gabrielle, criticizing her role as a stepmother.

Basketball player Dwyane called out the internet trolls for their “stupidity” and “hate,” pointing out that he is the head of his family, not them.

In an interview with Variety, Dwyane talked about supporting his son and about how Zion attended a pride parade in Miami last spring.

“I think as a family, we should support each other. That’s our job. And my job as a father is to facilitate their lives and to support them and be behind them in whatever they want to do,” basketball star Dwyane told Variety.

“I’m asked a question about my kids a lot from a sports perspective. I think people expect you to parent each kid the same. They are all different, and I have to get to know them and where they are. I have to say to most parents, get to know your kids. Don’t put your wants and needs on them.”

Other internet users rushed to Dwyane and his son’s defense
