World’s ‘Oldest 21-Year-Old’ Born On Leap Day In 1936 Is Treated To First ‘Legal’ Drink

First love is like the first drink—you are likely to remember it, but it won’t be your last one. Now imagine that there is a person who has waited 86 precious years, 30,679 days, to be precise, of their life to finally have that boozy indulgence legally. How on earth did this happen, you ask?

We answer—Arlene Marko, who was born in 1936, has technically just turned 21, because she was born on a leap day. A mom to 7 kids, Arlene declared herself “not an angel” and thus was very excited to accept Ryan Reynolds’ offer to have his Aviation Gin as her first of many toasts to come. In the commercial video, the woman confessed that she didn’t have a clue who the Deadpool star was, but he cut her off: “Ignore her, she’s been drinking.”

Arlene, the drinks are on you now, right?
