People Are Having Trouble Understanding Why This Dog Pic Looks So Wrong

Imagine that you’re scrolling through the internet, looking for pics of adorable doggos. Sounds like another day at the office, right? But then you stumble on a photo that freezes your brain. Your heart races. Your mind can’t process what you’re looking at. All you can say is “what in the world?” because you’re having trouble understanding what’s wrong with this dog picture.

There’s one photo of a dog that’s making the internet very, very confused. It’s gotten more than 143k views and over 3.2k upvotes on Imgur, and people are sharing how shocked, scared, and baffled they were. A year ago, the photo went viral on both Imgur and on the subreddit r/confusing_perspective. One person even made a handy drawing to show people what the dog would most likely look like from another perspective.

Meanwhile, some internet users were so shocked that they joked about having had enough Reddit for one day and compared the dog to something they’d see in the Silent Hill video games.

While others couldn’t help themselves and photoshopped googly eyes on the pic for a hilarious (not to mention worrisome) edit.
