VDF products fair: Christina Seewald has designed a collection of cotton garments named Shewee that feature and reference the female urination devices.
The clothing collection marries quality design with provocation, and was developed by Vienna-based designer Seewald to shed light on the challenges women face in the modern world.
Each garment in the collection is made from sustainable cotton and incorporates either a physical Shewee device or more subtle references to the products, such as oversized sleeves that echo their shape.
Shewee is one of 15 designs being exhibited at VDF products fair by Austrianfashion.net, a platform that exists to promote contemporary fashion designers from Austria.
Reflecting on Shewee, Austrianfashion.net said that "the clothes are simple, yet deceptively so, and hide a plethora of undercurrents and concepts within them."
It added: "Importance is placed not only on quality but on socio-political reflection and activism as well."
