Admit it – you’ve definitely wanted a Pokemon as a pet back when you were a kid (or maybe still want one even to this day). And while that’s not entirely possible, Thai woman Thammapa Supamas might have just gotten the next best thing.

After the woman found out her cat has a fungal infection, she decided to apply turmeric on her pet as a home remedy. Little did she know, it ended up dyeing the cat’s fur bright yellow, essentially turning it into a real-life Pikachu!

The woman decided to apply turmeric on her pet as a home remedy

In a recent interview with Bored Panda, the woman said they tried everything to cure the ringworm but nothing worked. That’s when she called her mother and she advised her to try out turmeric – and that’s what she did. “At first, she painted it on the ringworm but as there was a lot left, she decided to paint the whole body to prevent future mycoses,” said Thammapa.

The woman then tried to wash the turmeric away and noticed that the color wasn’t going anywhere

A short while after applying the turmeric, the woman tried to wash it off only to notice that it wouldn’t wash away – the cat’s fur had turned bright yellow! And don’t worry – Thammapa says that apart from looking pretty funny, the cat is as cheerful as ever.

The turmeric ended up dyeing the cat’s fur bright yellow!

The woman says that the turmeric treatment actually helped as the cat is no longer scratching and licking the affected area. She hopes that the yellow fur will grow out in a few months, and the fungus will be cured by then.
