A cat bed launched in collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld's pet features in today's Dezeen Weekly newsletter

Choupette models the Swing hammock bed by LucyBalu

The latest edition of our Dezeen Weekly newsletter features a cat bed launched in collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld's pet.

Readers are amused by a collaboration between animal furniture brand LucyBalu and late fashion designer Lagerfeld's cat Choupette.

Choupette, who is rumoured to be heir to some of Lagerfeld's huge fortune, endorsed the hammock-style cat bed called Swing when it was delivered to her via her agent.

After receiving the bed as a gift it quickly became Choupette's favourite place to sleep and the idea of a collaboration between her and LucyBalu was born.

Other stories in this week's newsletter include our round up of seven bedrooms with striking surfaces, modular houses that will be constructed largely from recycled plastic and shoes designed to carry tampons, matches and charging ports.
